Abby+Neil

Girl moves to neighborhood. Boy across the street asks her out. Girl’s dad says no. A couple years later boy asks again. Girl’s dad says yes. A few years later boy gives ring to girl. That’s the short and simple version of how Abby and Neil got engaged.

I thought I was a busy girl until I found out the Abby is planning two weddings (one in New York and a 3-day one in Trinidad), goes to school and works. Now, that is a handful. Kudos to Abby for keeping her head straight.

I met up with Abby and Neil to do a mini engagement session for their Save the Date cards. Here are some of my favorites.

Abby and Neil – thank you for my delicious gift!! It was consumed in a short time. You are too kind!!

Gloria+Paul

I enjoyed spending time with Gloria and Paul and getting to know them a little better. So how does a girl from Canada and a boy from England meet and fall in love?

Through their international careers of course somewhere across the ocean.

We started the engagement portrait session in Central Park with some lovely portraits then we headed down to the West Village/Meatpacking District for the fun and edgier shots.

Thank you for the really nice time and I am looking forward to next summer!

Jeff+Liz+Sophie

I love hanging out with Liz, Jeff and Sophie and photographing this family. They’re always lots of fun with great ideas. Sophie is completely natural in front of the camera.

Last year’s portraits and holiday card were a big hit with friends and family so we tried to top that.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Alyssa+Rob: Take two!

I met with Alyssa and Rob in Central Park for the second part of their engagement session. We had just as much fun as in Shea last month.

They have such a great chemistry and they photograph so well!

Emily and Phil’s wedding

Emily and Phil got married at the Foundry in Long Island City, one of my favorite places, on a warm October day.

Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding day.

Check out the cool looking and ergonomic wedding bands.

The burgers, fries and macaroni and cheese were prepared by Naturally Delicious and it was a big hit with the guests.

Both dads made a toast to the couple and so did Phil’s sister and college friends.

The DJ was playing a very special songlist upon the request of Phil and Emily who both have very sophisticated taste in music.

Some of the songs were from Belle and Sebastian, Spiritualized, and the soundtrack of Trainspotting.

Congratulations to Emily and Phil!
