Arizona

I spent six days in the Carefree area in Arizona in January while attending a wedding photographers’ convention.  I also organized two photo sessions with local models and make up artists so I can take advantage of the beautiful Arizona landscape and photograph for myself.  I had a great time photographing all the models and some photographers as well.

Here are some images that I really like.

This is Justine and Brent.

This is Gina who is actually a fellow wedding photographer from Vancouver and also a bride.

This is Nicole.

This is Monika Broz a very talented photographer from New York/New Jersey.  Monika jumped in last minute to model for me as one of the models got sick.  Monika was so much fun to work with and she made a gorgeous model!!

Justine with AJ.

This is Rebecca.

This is Travis.

Monika and Rebecca’s make up and hair was done by Heather Wilson, an extremely talented and experienced make up artist.  Heather travels all over the US and she does everything from bridal make up to runway models.

Justine, Nicole and Gina’s make up was done by Stephanie Nault a young and talented make up artist.

The wedding of Agnes and Butch

Agnes and Butch’ wedding was my very last wedding to photograph in 2008 and it was a perfect way to end an absolutely amazing year.

The couple got married in the beautiful Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola in Manhattan.  After the ceremony, reception followed in the Greentree Country Club in Westchester.

Some of the highlights of Agnes and Butch’ special day, were, the meaningful ceremony, the Philippine folk dances, the cutest flower girls and ring bearers and a chilly but crystal clear day.

During the ceremony many Filipino wedding traditions took place.  Butch passed 13 coins into Agnes’ hands which represents his dedication to her welfare.  Agnes and Butch had sponsors who also pinned the veil on the couple and tied the cord.  The veil symbolized the unity of the two families and the cord the love and friendship between the couple.  Towards the end of the ceremony Agnes and Butch lit the unity candle.

The place cards were hanging from ribbons tied to a metal tree;  very different and elegant.

Congratulations to Agnes and Butch!

Thank you for letting me be part of your special day!

Blue Daisy Kids

The fall months are usually really busy with family portrait sessions.  Some kids I have been photographing for several years and it’s amazing to see how much they grow and how their personalities shape.

Here are some favorite portraits from the November and December sessions that were taken in the studio, on location and at the families homes.
