Amy and John’s wedding in Montego Bay | Part two

Saturday was a beautiful, warm, bright and windy day.  Started photographing the wedding details and Amy and the girls in the spa in the early afternoon as they were getting ready.

The couple’s gorgeous custom letter print invites, Save the date cards and wedding stationary were designed and created by Ceci Designs in New York City.

Amy wore a beautiful lace gown from Amsale Blue Label Collection.

John and Rob and Dave relaxing before the portrait session. John, the best men and the fathers of the couple all wore matching orange Hermes ties.

I love this portrait of Amy – a little wind can be a fun element.

Amy and John’s first meeting on the wedding day then we were off all over Round Hill for some portraits of the couple and the wedding party.

The ceremony site overlooking the ocean and the big blue skies.  The beautiful flowers, bouquets, centerpieces and floating flower arrangements were created by Tai Flora.
The ceremony took place just before the sun set.

The reception was held at the Georgian Terrace where the tables were lit by candlelight and decorated with beautiful white orchid centerpieces.

Amy and John had the best entertainment: they had a great reggae band, the Chokey Taylor Band, and also DJ Murdock for part of the night.  The couple and their guests were dancing all night.  Even John and his friends jumped in with the band for a little jam session.

Congratulations to Amy and John!!  It was an incredible weekend and I am so lucky to have been part of it and photographed it.

Amy and John’s wedding in Montego Bay | Part one

Amy and John planned  a long relaxing weekend in March to celebrate their wedding with friends and family in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  Their guests came from all over the US, UK and Italy to spend a few days with Amy and John at the beautiful Round Hill Hotel and Villas.

Thursday evening was the Welcome Cocktail party and Friday evening the Rehearsal Dinner and Folklore Show.  Here are some highlights and moments from those evenings.

Christine and Allen tied the knot in the Bahamas

What an amazing weekend I had in the Bahamas!
I flew out early Thursday to photograph a wedding with Leigh Miller on the Grand Island of the Bahamas. Friday evening we photographed Christine and Allen’s rehearsal dinner. All the festivities and celebration took place at the Westin Our Lucaya. You can’t ask for a more ideal setting: palm trees and blue sky above the head and white sand under the feet overlooking the ocean and the setting sun. Here are some images from the dinner.

Saturday morning was the wedding. First we caught up with Christine and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready in the spa.

The beautiful ceremony site was set up overlooking the ocean.

Allen and the groomsmen.

The cutest little flowergirl.
The beautiful maid of honor and the bridesmaids pretty in pink.

The first kiss.

The happy newlyweds: Christine and Allen.
Reception followed the ceremony in the Manor House where Christine and Allen had four different wedding cakes to cut and taste. (Hmmm, my kind of reception…)

Sunday morning started with a 6 AM photo session of Christine and Allen alone. I got to see an amazing sunrise on the beach and took beautiful portraits of the newlyweds. Leigh’s idea to get them in the pool worked out perfectly. Who knew that jumping in the pool at 6AM with your clothes on can be such fun? Every one got in the pool except me…deep pools are not for short people like me… 8)
But here’s an image of Leigh photographing in the pool and some more images I took in the morning.

I love this last photo of Christine and Allen: they look so happy and in love.

Christine and Allen make such a great couple; they were very nice, attractive and open to creative ideas. The perfect couple to photograph! Congratulations to Christine and Allen; wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
