I have decided to give something back.  

I did this last year and it was such a great success I have decided to repeat it again this year.

In honor of Mother Earth and birthdays in general, I am giving one lucky couple a maternity portrait session and a newborn session.

Here it is how it works:

Anyone can apply who is expecting their baby sometimes between end of May and end of August 2009.  It does not have to be your first baby.

The session will take place at a location of your choice.  After the maternity session once the baby is born we’ll schedule the newborn portrait session as well.

Any couples who are interested please send me a recent photo of yourselves and a few sentences about yourselves.  The last day to enter is Wednesday, April 29th by midnight.

The results will be drawn on May 1st and posted on the blog.

The fall months are usually really busy with family portrait sessions.  Some kids I have been photographing for several years and it’s amazing to see how much they grow and how their personalities shape.

Here are some favorite portraits from the November and December sessions that were taken in the studio, on location and at the families homes.

Russ is the big brother of Laura and Andrea, two of my brides from last year.

The whole family is so warm and welcoming; it is always so nice to see them and take their portraits.

When Russ and Elena were expecting their first child, Laura and Andrea decided to give a family portrait session as a gift. A year later I finally got to meet Daniel who is super cute and have big gorgeous eyes.

Here are some beautiful portraits of Russ, Elena and baby Daniel.

Elena loves taking photos herself and she had lots of great ideas for poses. She has already taken over a thousand images of baby Daniel.

I have been photographing Paul since he was seven months old and it is so amazing watching him grow and learn over the last few years. He is over three years old now and truly loves life.

Paul loves collecting leaves, picking up worms, jumping into big piles of leaves, rolling in the grass and always with a huge smile on his face.

You can’t help but laugh with him.
