Central Park and Gantry Park engagement ~ Jenni & Phillip

I met up with Jenni and Phillip the day after the proposal and we headed back to Central Park and later to Gantry Park in Long Island City for their engagement session.

We had a great time and luckily the rain held off as well.

Romantic proposal in Shakespeare Garden ~ Surprise proposal photographer

I photographed the greenest and one of the most romantic proposals in Central Park’s Shakespeare Garden. The proposal took place on Earth Day, in the middle of lush beautiful greenery and spring flowers in full bloom. Add some spring rain and musicians singing “All I want is you” by U2 and you got Phillip and Jenni’s dream proposal.

Orchestrated and organized by the amazing Proposal Planner, Sarah Pease and her team; this proposal was earthy, organic and truly unique.

Stay tune for part two when Jenni and Phillip and I returned to Central Park for some engagement portraits.

Rockefeller Center surprise marriage proposal ~ NYC proposal photographer

Max contacted me from Mexico and he was ready to propose to his girlfriend Ericka on the Top of the Rock. The couple’s first date was at the Statue of Liberty a couple years ago and Max thought New York City would be the perfect place for his surprise marriage proposal.

It was a bit foggy and misty on the Top of the Rock but it created a very romantic atmosphere for the proposal. Max got down on one knee and with a gorgeous ring, he asked Ericka to marry him. She, of course, said Yes!

After the proposal, the happy couple and I visited some quintessential New York City spots such as Times Square and the Love statue for engagement portraits.

Wishing a wonderful and fun life together to Ericka and Max – it was a blast working with you!

A sweet proposal story ~ Manhattan surprise marriage proposal

Dan contacted me last fall with his unique and sweet proposal idea and asked me to photograph it when he pops the question to his longtime girlfriend, Jenn.

March has arrived, love is in the air and Jenn and Dan came to visit New York City. A sunny and bright Saturday morning the couple stopped at Magnolia’s cupcake shop on the Upper West Side where Dan proposed on one knee, a gorgeous engagement ring in a box and with Jenn’s favorite cupcakes spelled out: Will you marry me Jenn?

Naturally, Jenn said Yes! The newly engaged couple and I walked around the Upper West Side and Central Park to capture some engagement portraits. It was a blast working with Jenn and Dan and I wish them a wonderful engagement and wedding!

Proposal book ~ NYC surprise marriage proposal photography

Danny and Tanvi ordered a few copies of their proposal book for themselves and their parents.

The proposal book features their amazing travel inspired surprise marriage proposal that took place in Manhattan.

The square coffee table books were printed and bound in Japan and have superb quality and color.

New York Palace marriage proposal ~ NYC proposal photography

This lucky lady was surprised by her boyfriend with a giant puzzle on the penthouse terrace of the New York Palace hotel while a trio of musicians were playing their favorite songs.

The puzzle’s missing piece was “husband and wife” and after the initial shock and surprise, she said Yes and they completed their puzzle of life!

Later the couple enjoyed an unforgettable dinner at Le Bernardin‘s private room, a 5 tiered puzzle cake and a ride around the city in a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Congratulations to the very happy couple!!

NYC surprise marriage proposal photography

I love photographing surprise marriage proposals!

Mike contacted me a couple months ago from Canada when he decided to plan a surprise New York City trip for his girlfriend, Sarah, and pop the question while visiting the Big Apple. Mike had it perfectly planned out and was looking for a photographer to capture the moment when he proposes to her.

Mike chose the beautiful and very busy spot, the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. It was the perfect location as I could easily blend in with the tourist crowd and stayed unnoticed. After several e-mails leading up to the holiday weekend, on the day of the proposal, Mike texted me what they are wearing and what time they are getting to the Top of the Rock.

I easily spotted them when they arrived; they took their time looking around, taking some snapshots of one another. Then a few minutes later Mike got down on one knee and proposed! Of course Sarah said Yes! and dozens of tourist cheered loudly who witnessed the proposal.
After the initial shock and surprise we walked around Manhattan to photograph the newly engaged couple.
