Lake Hopatcong island wedding ~ New Jersey wedding photographer

It’s time for a throw-back-Thursday wedding photo. This wedding took place in 2005, way before my blogging days.  It was one of my favorite wedding to photograph that year. It took place in New Jersey, on Lake Hopatcong, on a tiny private island that belonged to the groom’s family for many generations. The wedding couple, the bridal party and all the guests had to take boats over to the small island where the ceremony and reception took place. The photograph that I am sharing, was, taken during the ceremony as the bride and groom exchanged their vows, standing on a cliff overlooking the lake. Isn’t it a beautiful and romantic spot for a wedding?

Throw back Thursday wedding edition.

I photographed this wedding in 2005 and it was one of the first weddings where I used digital cameras.  Before 2005 I shot all my weddings with film cameras using 35 mm color and black and white rolls of film.

This wedding took place in Chelsea, a very cool and colorful neighborhood of New York City.  Most places in Manhattan it’s easier to walk from point A to point B rather than hopping into a limousine.  This wedding couple, Christina and Andy, did just that, they walked from the church to the restaurant a few blocks away where the reception took place.  As we were walking I saw this bright red door and loved how the couple popped in front of the bright color.  For years this was one of my favorite wedding photographs and since this wedding was photographed before my blogging days I thought it would be fun to share.

Central Park family portraits ~ Manhattan family photographer

Fall is a very popular season for family portraits for many reasons.  The family photographs can be used in the holidays cards, given as gift for Christmas and families take advantage of the cooler and colorful time of the year.

Many families return for their annual family portraits in September and October and last fall Central Park was a very popular location for the portraits.

Here is one family at the picturesque Gapstow Bridge and the nearby Pond area in Central Park, New York City.

Wedding Thank you card ~ Photo collage Thank you card

Megan and Stanton sent out Thank you cards with photo collages to their guests after their beautiful summer wedding.  Thank you cards with wedding photographs are the perfect way to create a unique and completely personalized card.  This card is five inches by eight inches, vertical folded format with four sides.  The front and back of the card had photo collages and inside one panel was left blank for personal notes. The photo collage format allows the card to have multiple photographs featured not just one or two; it is perfect for wedding couples who have lots of favorite images from their wedding day which they would like to share.  This card was printed on a pearl paper stock and added a soft shimmer to the couple’s favorite photographs. The Thank You cards were a big hit with the guests and many of them hold onto to it long after the wedding.
