When new life and my life merge ~ Baby Emily

Our little bundle of joy arrived in the middle of wintery and snowy January! Introducing our daughter, Emily; our pride and joy.

I took these portraits when she was a 20 day old newborn.

Our life and priorities completely changed and we are so in love with her. Every day we are learning something new about her and we are totally in awe of her.

Enjoy a few of these newborn portraits of Emily.

A little personal time off ~ On maternity leave

I generally don’t post a lot of personal things on my blog – trying to keep it focused on work and photography.

However, since I am taking a bit longer break from work I thought I should write a couple sentences here.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby in January, a little girl. We are beyond excited and can’t wait for her to arrive.

I have worked and photographed throughout my whole pregnancy – I was very lucky with a great pregnancy and full of energy and was able to work without any time off.

Now that my due date is quickly approaching, I will be taking January and February off. I will start photographing again in March and finishing up some outstanding album orders in January and February.

If you have any inquiries please feel free to contact me and if I am not able to photograph, I would be happy to make some recommendations for you.

Christmas proposal at Rockefeller Center. New York City surprise marriage proposal.

Ashley and Bo were visiting New York City during the festive holiday season from Louisiana. Bo chose the iconic and quintessential holiday spot, the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center to pop the question to Ashley.

He pulled her up in between the angels, and in front of hundreds of tourists and visitors, Bo proposed to Ashley. She said Yes and many people who witnessed the proposal cheered for them. Some people wanted photos with the happy couple and congratulate them.

After the proposal we took some portraits in front of the Christmas angels, the Christmas tree with Bo’s signs, and in front of the nearby Christmas decorations along Avenue of the Americas and Radio City Music Hall.

Rockefeller Center ice skating rink proposal

One of the most iconic and romantic holiday spots in New York City, is, the Rockefeller Center where the giant Christmas tree stands in December and people ice skate in the rink during winter.

Adam chose the ice skating rink for his surprise marriage proposal to Paige. He arranged in advance to have some alone time on the ice with Paige and got down on one knee to propose after some ice skating.

Both Adam’s and Paige’s family watched from a distance and everyone was very happy and overjoyed when Paige said Yes!

Woodlands wedding in Woodbury New York ~ Jessica and Keith

Some lucky couples have the opportunity to have two weddings and celebrations. Jessica and Keith had an exotic beach wedding in Punta Cana in the summer and in the fall they had a church ceremony and wedding reception in New York. The best of both worlds!

The church ceremony took place at Saint Andrew Avellino in Flushing and the reception in the Mansion at the Woodlands in Woodbury.

The reception had a beautiful love birds theme with gold and pink hues color scheme. Besides the gorgeous wedding cake, there was a groom’s cake as well (both the bride and groom are huge football fans) and many sweet patisserie for the guests to enjoy.
