Congratulations Michele and John!

I photographed Michele and John’s wedding on Long Island with the talented Susan Francy.

The couple tied the knot in Babylon, in the beautiful Saint Joseph Church. After the ceremony, the happy couple and their guests headed over to the Bellport Country Club. It was a gorgeous setting for a wedding celebration.

Michele and John had a great bridal party; they were having fun and cracking jokes all day. It was really hard for me to keep a straight face at times.

Here are some of my favorite images of their special day.

Lisa and Michael’s Manhattan Wedding

Lisa and Michael got married in Manhattan on July 1st.
Lisa got ready at the Inn at Irving Place, a beautiful and charming bed and breakfast.
Lisa’s exquisite Oscar de la Renta wedding gown was absolutely breathtaking and she looked amazing in it.

Lisa and Michael said “I DO” in the Church of the Epiphany.
After the ceremony we headed to a nearby park for some portraits.

Lisa and her friends went for a quick stroll. I was very impressed how well Lisa walked and danced in her Christian Louboutin shoes all day.

At Candela restaurant, just off of Union Square, friends and families of Lisa and Michael enjoyed the coctail hour and reception. Candela was lit by hundreds of candles and was a very romantic setting for a wedding reception. Jessica and Richard of Candela’s did an awesome job with the reception.
The newlyweds’ first dance.
Lisa was dancing with her father.
Michael and Lisa really enjoyed the heartfelt toasts by the best man and close friends.
David from Expressway Music was the DJ and he kept providing a great mix of tunes all night.
Thank you Michael and Lisa for letting me share this very special day and celebration with you.
I hope you are having an awesome time in Italy!
Would like to see more? Here’s a slideshow. Enjoy.

Happy Birthday America!

Julie and John invited us over for a 4th of July party and to watch the fireworks. Julie’s apartment overlooks the East River and midtown Manhattan and it’s the perfect place to watch the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks from.
Julie and John prepared a delicious array of dishes and they get a huge bonus point for the 5 different desserts which I had to sample all. 8)
Here are a few images of the absolutely amazing fireworks tonight.

Thank you for having us Julie and John!!!

Happy newlyweds: Laura and Steve!

It was such a pleasure photographing Laura and Steve’s special day on Long Island’s north shore.
Laura and Steve, who are a city couple, chose old Stony Brook for their wedding for it’s quaint and picturesque settings.
Check out Laura and Steve’s wedding highlights slideshow.
Some of my favorite moments of the day:

Laura was getting her dress buttoned up by Andrea, her sister and maid of honor.

Laura was such a beautiful and elegant bride.

A last minute phone call from the groom, Steve, just before he headed to the church.

Laura’s smile said it all as her limo pulled up in front of the church.

The happy newlyweds as they exited the beautiful church of Saints Philip and James in St. James.

We stopped at the local beach before heading to the reception where Laura and Steve was very popular by the locals. They generously offered their cabanas for some photos.

I love this image of Laura and Steve on the beach; they’re so happy!
While I was taking this photo, one local man who was swimming, yelled out to Steve: Don’t drop the girl!!
You got to love a good advice….

The reception was held at the Old Field Club in Stony Brook. Tom Hesse, the manager did an amazing job with the reception.
Here’s the beautiful Old Field Club inside and out:

I absolutely loved Laura and Steve’s wedding cake. It was beautiful with lots of intricate details.

I caught Laura and Steve dancing outside by the moonlight.

The DJs from Absolute Entertainment kept the couple and their guests dancing all night long on the dance floor.
Just minutes before their wedding day was over I saw Laura and Steve sharing a private moment.

It was a wonderful day and I am very honored that I was part of it. Thank you Laura and Steve!
Enjoy Mexico!
I’d also like to thank Tricia who mentioned my name to Steve and Laura. Tricia, you’re the best!

Welcome home Mac Daddy!

There’s a new addition to the family!! The computer family, that is.
I have been reading about the new apple computers for a couple months now and yesterday I went into the new Apple store on Fifth Avenue and an hour later walked out with one of the latest Intel iMac computers. It joins a big family of other apple computers, external hard drives and other devices.
It’s big and beautiful, hence the name Mac Daddy. I pretty much name all my computers and hard drives so instead of saying: Let me back up a copy of that wedding on the 250GB hard drive, I can say: Big Momma, you’ll have your own copy of that beautiful wedding.

I am hoping, with Mac Daddy, the dreaded post processing workflow will be faster and more fun.

Even if you are not an Apple user, you should check out the new store; it’s amazing! I even spotter Peter Gallagher with his daughter browsing there yesterday.
