Melissa and David tied the knot in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden

I have photographed Melissa and David’s wedding in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden yesterday.
The weather was perfect with lots of sun and a nice breeze. The couple was so happy and in-love that they couldn’t stop smiling all day. The place for the ceremony and the reception was at the beautiful Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Palm House.
My friend and fellow photographer, Bill Wang, photographed with me bringing his creative energy.
Check out the Melissa and David’s wedding highlights slideshow.

Here are some of my favorite images from the special day.

Melissa is ready to walk down with her mom and dad.

I just love this moment as Melissa’s mom and dad lifting her veil before she steps in front of David under the chupah. Melissa looks so happy!

The father-daughter dance in the beautiful Palm House.

Six very talented ladies, The Kit McClure Band, provided the awesome music. Guests were dancing during the entire reception.

The beautiful Ketubah displayed.

Melissa and David were dancing like seasoned professionals and they really vowed all their guests with their amazing first dance.

At the end of the day David and Melissa got into a cool vintage getaway car and waved goodbye to their guests.

Melissa and David: Thank you for letting me be part of your special day. It was truly amazing!
And a big thank you to Mary Beaty for connecting Melissa and David with me. Thank you Mary!

Some Bahamian colors ~ Travel photographer

Sunday afternoon, just before heading back to New York City, I took a little walk around the Marketplace with my trusty little point and shoot camera and tried to capture some of the amazing local colors.
A lot of buildings were painted with bright and vibrant colors, the sky was a deep blue and gorgeous flowers were popping up everywhere.
Here are some of my favorite shots. Can’t wait to come back to visit again!

This was the Westin I stayed at. Comfy bed and bathrobe! 🙂

Check out the cool retro phone booth.

Christine and Allen tied the knot in the Bahamas ~ Destination wedding photographer

What an amazing weekend I had in the Bahamas!
I flew out early Thursday to photograph a wedding with Leigh Miller on the Grand Island of the Bahamas. Friday evening we photographed Christine and Allen’s rehearsal dinner. All the festivities and celebration took place at the Westin Our Lucaya. You can’t ask for a more ideal setting: palm trees and blue sky above the head and white sand under the feet overlooking the ocean and the setting sun. Here are some images from the dinner.

Saturday morning was the wedding. First we caught up with Christine and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready in the spa.

The beautiful ceremony site was set up overlooking the ocean.

Allen and the groomsmen.

The cutest little flowergirl.
The beautiful maid of honor and the bridesmaids pretty in pink.

The first kiss.

The happy newlyweds: Christine and Allen.
Reception followed the ceremony in the Manor House where Christine and Allen had four different wedding cakes to cut and taste. (Hmmm, my kind of reception…)

Sunday morning started with a 6 AM photo session of Christine and Allen alone. I got to see an amazing sunrise on the beach and took beautiful portraits of the newlyweds. Leigh’s idea to get them in the pool worked out perfectly. Who knew that jumping in the pool at 6AM with your clothes on can be such fun? Every one got in the pool except me…deep pools are not for short people like me… 8)
But here’s an image of Leigh photographing in the pool and some more images I took in the morning.

I love this last photo of Christine and Allen: they look so happy and in love.

Christine and Allen make such a great couple; they were very nice, attractive and open to creative ideas. The perfect couple to photograph! Congratulations to Christine and Allen; wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
