Washington Square Park surprise marriage proposal in New York City

Conor and Alex took a walk through Washington Square Park on a brisk October afternoon. They were on their way to the restaurant for a romantic dinner. They sat down for a minute at the fountain just as the sun was setting. After that Conor surprised his girlfriend, Alex, with a stunning diamond engagement ring. Alex happily said Yes! After the surprise marriage proposal we took some portraits of the newly engaged couple near Washington Square Park.

Congratulations and best wishes to Alex and Conor!

Rustic farm wedding celebration in Connecticut ~ Allen Hill Farm wedding in Brooklyn, CT

Karyn and Rob tied the knot in a destination wedding in a beautiful Irish castle in the spring.  For their summer wedding celebration the newlywed couple chose the rustic and pastoral Allen Hill Farm in Brooklyn, Connecticut.  They celebrated in a picturesque red barn with their friends and families.  Allen Hill Farm is a family owned working farm where one can go and cut their own Christmas tree and couples can rent the property for weddings and special events.

Congratulations and warmest wishes to Karyn and Rob!

Montauk lighthouse surprise proposal – Montauk, New York proposal photography

Mayoor contacted me in March with his proposal plans to Sajni at the romantic Montauk Lighthouse.

Mayoor planned a whole weekend in the Hamptons with wonderful meals, sightseeing and the surprise marriage proposal at the lighthouse.

Montauk Point Lighthouse is the first and oldest lighthouse in New York state and has beautiful views of the ocean.

When Mayoor and Sajni arrived at the park they started to walk around the big rocks towards the beach.  They took a little break, took some photos and chatted a little bit.

Then Mayoor stood up and kneeled down and popped the question to his high school sweetheart.  Sajni was very surprised and very happy.  Of course she said Yes!  She was amazed how well Mayoor planned it all out and kept it a secret.  It was a very romantic and unique proposal.  It was their first time visiting the Montauk Lighthouse and now it will forever hold very special memories for them.

Congratulations to Sajni and Mayoor!

Winter wonderland romance

Rob proposed to Karyn in a very romantic setting while they were traveling in Ireland during springtime.  We tried to find an equally beautiful setting in New York City for their engagement portraits.  Mother Nature was on our side when we got the first lovely snow of the season and transformed Central Park into a romantic winter wonderland for the engagement session.

We visited some of the landmarks of the park such as the Belvedere Castle, the Bow Bridge and the Bethesda Fountain for romantic backdrops.  Karyn and Rob were such troopers during the session even though we were all soaked by the end.  Had some fun throwing some snow balls, we spotted some wild life and some cute snowmen.

Congratulations to Karyn and Rob!!

Fall family portraits in Fort Tryon Park, New York City

I have met up with Esther, Josh and Toby on a beautiful autumn day in Fort Tryon Park in Manhattan for their fall family portraits.

We had a great time exploring Fort Tryon Park, its arches and stone walls and peaceful paths.

Fort Tryon Park is one of Manhattan’s highest point and offers stunning views on the Hudson River, the George Washington Bridge and the New Jersey Palisades.

The 50 feet high arches, called the Billings Arcade used to be the original driveway to the Billings mansion and estate.  Unfortunately the mansion burned down almost a hundred years ago.

Fort Tryon Park is now the home to the Cloisters museum and the New Leaf restaurant.  One of the highlights of Fort Tryon Park, is, the 3 acre heather garden.
