Very hungry caterpillar birthday party – New York City children’s birthday party

Logan turned one and he was celebrated by friends and family in a colorful party setting on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Logan’s mom chose Eric Carle’s  classic children’s book, The very hungry caterpillar, for inspiration and as the birthday party theme.  There were caterpillar water bottles, balloons, musical instruments, cake pops, lollipops, rocker, photo banner, milestone board and many more caterpillar decorations.

Amazing birthday cake, candy table and the Little Maestros made the party fun and entertaining for everyone.  Happy birthday to Logan, it was a fantastic birthday party!

Some interesting information about Eric Carle’s book, The very hungry caterpillar:

  • It was first published almost 50 years ago in 1969
  • The book format with the little holes was inspired by a hole punch
  • The book has been translated to many languages, won numerous children’s literary awards, adapted for TV and also made into a theater production
