Carol+Ed – Central Park spring engagement session

Carol and Ed’s engagement session fell on the first gorgeous spring day of the year.  Naturally everyone and all their cousins were in Central Park.    🙂

After spending just a short amount of time with Carol and Ed, it is so apparent that they are madly in love with each other and have so much fun together.

Besides some picturesque locations in the park we also walked around the Grand Central area where Carol and Ed used to live.

Here are some of my favorite moments of a great afternoon with Carol and Ed.

sofia - i am a friend of the couple’s and i have to say…you did an amazing job capturing the essence of their relationship. they are such a fun, loving couple. i feel so lucky to share in their special day!

It’s Earth Day and my birthday so…

I have decided to give something back.   🙂

I did this last year and it was such a great success I have decided to repeat it again this year.

In honor of Mother Earth and birthdays in general, I am giving one lucky couple a maternity portrait session and a newborn session.

Here it is how it works:

Anyone can apply who is expecting their baby sometimes between end of May and end of August 2009.  It does not have to be your first baby.

The session will take place at a location of your choice.  After the maternity session once the baby is born we’ll schedule the newborn portrait session as well.

Any couples who are interested please send me a recent photo of yourselves and a few sentences about yourselves.  The last day to enter is Wednesday, April 29th by midnight.

The results will be drawn on May 1st and posted on the blog.

🙂

Please send the photos/e-mail to [email protected]

Looking forward to it!!

Mariann

Kimberly and Mickey tied the knot

Kimberly and Mickey got married and celebrated with friends and family at Carlyle on the Green.

The touching ceremony officiated by Elizabeth Phaire consisted of lighting the unity candle, hand fasting and water ceremony and the couple wrote their own vows.

Kimberly who is very creative and crafty made a lot of the stationaries and decorations for the reception.  Bouquets and centerpieces were created by Flower Michele.

Kimberly’s hair and make up artists were Stacey and Sabrina from Fresh Face Forward.

Here are some of the highlights from Kimberly and Mickey’s wedding day:

Congratulations and warmest wishes to Kimberly and Mickey!

Yash Mahajan - Hi Mickey and the new misses,

Congratulations!!! Your wedding looked beautiful and I’m very happy for you both.

Jessica - This wedding was gorgeous, and you captured it wonderfully! Every detail is just perfect!

Amy and John’s wedding in Montego Bay | Part two

Saturday was a beautiful, warm, bright and windy day.  Started photographing the wedding details and Amy and the girls in the spa in the early afternoon as they were getting ready.

The couple’s gorgeous custom letter print invites, Save the date cards and wedding stationary were designed and created by Ceci Designs in New York City.

Amy wore a beautiful lace gown from Amsale Blue Label Collection.

 Connie helping with Amy’s dress.

John and Rob and Dave relaxing before the portrait session. John, the best men and the fathers of the couple all wore matching orange Hermes ties.

I love this portrait of Amy – a little wind can be a fun element.

Amy and John’s first meeting on the wedding day then we were off all over Round Hill for some portraits of the couple and the wedding party.

The ceremony site overlooking the ocean and the big blue skies.  The beautiful flowers, bouquets, centerpieces and floating flower arrangements were created by Tai Flora.
The ceremony took place just before the sun set.

The reception was held at the Georgian Terrace where the tables were lit by candlelight and decorated with beautiful white orchid centerpieces.

Amy and John had the best entertainment: they had a great reggae band, the Chokey Taylor Band, and also DJ Murdock for part of the night.  The couple and their guests were dancing all night.  Even John and his friends jumped in with the band for a little jam session.

Congratulations to Amy and John!!  It was an incredible weekend and I am so lucky to have been part of it and photographed it.

Steven - I so love their cake and the theme of their wedding. Beach wedding is really refreshing and yeah blue is the nice color to use for beach wedding too.
